Playlists

Old but Gold / Playlist

It’s the first of December, and you know what that means? Christmas music! (Here’s my list of favourite Christmas songs I posted in 2017. Yes, it is still accurate.)

But previous to this month, I’ve been consistently playing the following songs. I’ve always enjoyed older songs; I’ve been through an eighties phase (though I don’t think I ever left), and while I’ve always liked these songs, I’ve never purposefully listened to them as much as I have this month.

(I also just realised that two of these songs are on ‘The Parent Trap’ soundtrack lol.)

1/ You Keep Me Hanging On (The Supremes)

“Set me free, why don’t you baby.”

2/ At Last (Etta James)

“My lonely days are over and life is like a song.”

3/ Moon River (Audrey Hepburn)

“Wherever you’re going, I’m going your way.”

4/ Come See About Me (The Supremes)

“No matter what you do or say, I’m gonna love you anyway.”

5/ You Send Me (Aretha Franklin cover of Sam Cooke)

“At first I thought it was infatuation but it lasted so long.”

6/ Cry To Me (Solomon Burke)

“You don’t ever have to walk alone.”

7/ This Will Be (An Everlasting Love) (Natalie Cole)

“No one can take the place of you.”

8/ Where Did Our Love Go (The Supremes)

“Please don’t leave me all by myself.”

9/ L.O.V.E. (Frank Sinatra)

“Two in love can make it.”

10/ Stop! In The Name Of Love (Diana Ross and the Supremes)

“Before you break my heart, think it over.”
