The Simplicity of Porridge

Sometimes you just have to eat some porridge.

I don’t like sultanas, so my go-to sweetener is brown sugar, but on the occasion dried apple is good. We currently don’t have any dried apple though, and I’m not one to complain about brown sugar being the only thing I can have on my porridge because brown sugar is delicious. It’s also the only time I seem to use brown sugar, so it’s nice to pull it out of the pantry and say ‘hello, it’s been awhile.’ Perhaps if I baked more than I say I like to bake I would use brown sugar more, but alas; that’s not my reality.

The dream is that somewhere out there someone is eating porridge, and they stumble upon this post and have a good chuckle to themselves.
