Well, it’s New Years Eve. And it doesn’t quite feel like it to me. I think because I’ve been away and I’ve moved back home, all these other things have taken up my mind, so now we’re here without me quite realising it.
I like the thought of ending a year well, as with ending anything well. In light of this, I’m going to give you the last playlist of 2017. Here are five songs that I’ll keep listening to in 2018 (let’s just say, these are my favourite songs of right now):
1/ Please Don’t Say You Love Me (Gabrielle Aplin)
“Under pressure precious things can break.”
2/ Paris (The Chainsmokers)
“If we go down, then we go down together.”
3/ Winter Song (Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson)
“December never felt so wrong ’cause you’re not where you belong, inside my arms.”
4/ Can’t Help Falling in Love (Kina Grannis cover of Elvis Presley)
“Take my hand, take my whole life too.”
5/ You Are My Sunshine (Jasmine Thompson cover)
“The other night dear, as I lay sleeping, I dreamed I held you in my arms.”
Happy New Year!
