Watching the World Go On / Poem

‘Watching the World Go On’, a poem by me, someone who’s sick with nothing else to do.

Dry toast

Cups of tea

Beanie’s on

Protecting me

Sun’s out

World can see

Day moves on

Without me

Work isn’t done

Cries out a plea

Mark me off your list

Complete me

Tissues pile up

Let me be

Go back to normal

Stop being sick

I don’t like this me

You run out of things to talk about when each day is the same. Being sick just shouldn’t be a thing anymore.
