One of my dreams in life is to do karaoke. One of my friends has already said she’ll organise it for me for my birthday, so we’ll see how that goes. But here is my list of fifteen ultimate sing-a-long songs, in my personal opinion. Enjoy!
- What Do You Mean (Justin Beiber)
Life’s too short to pretend you don’t play this loudly in your car and sing along because hey, we all know all the words.
2. See You Again (Miley Cyrus)
You know you danced to this in your room when you were sixteen.
3. Treat You Better (Shawn Mendes)
Pretty sure I still can’t get over how good his voice is.
4. I Love It (Icona Pop)
The ad didn’t ruin this song. If you say that enough, you totally believe it.
5. The Reason (Hoobastank)
Karaoke can be sad and dramatic, too.
6. Ugly Heart (GRL)
Tell me I’m not the only one who wanted these outfits or who was impressed by that choreographed-in-sync dance.
7. You’ve Got the Love (Florence and the Machine)
You may not have her voice or a moon-prop, but you can try your best.
8. Stay With Me (Sam Smith)
Such good backups!
9. Next to Me (Emili Sande)
This will never get old.
10. Dream a Little Dream of Me (The Mamas and the Papas)
So dramatic and intense and beautiful and just everything you want in life. (Especially when it’s in the soundtrack of “Leap Year” and you ship them when this song plays.)
11. These Words (Natasha Bedingfield)
These words will always be remembered and sung frequently.
12. Riptide (Vance Joy)
When will this riff not be fabulous?
13. Ghost (Ella Henderson)
I haven’t seen the music video because it looks kind of dodge, but her vocals are amazing, not to mention the catchiness of the chorus.
14. Summer Sadness (Lana Del Rey)
Half the time you can’t hit the low notes, but you love it all the time, so it’s kind of worth it, even though karaoke would be a slight struggle.
15. Magic (Coldplay)
I just love this song so bad, hey.
And anything ABBA, eighties, or Taylor Swift of course 😉. But if I’m being really honest, any song is a good sing-a-long song.
