The Art of Killing Plants

This is awful. This isn’t something that I’m proud of. This is something that I wish I didn’t have to write about, but alas, it’s the only idea in my head right now:

My plants are not looking good.

I blame the heat. I blame the sun and the lack of cloud cover. I watered them nearly as much as I should have, didn’t I? I did.

One of four is looking really good, if you look past the browning stems. The others are just brown all over, and wilted. Wilted flowers are the saddest. You want to revive them, but in summer, it’s difficult to give them what they need.

Still, they bring joy, thus making them a worthy investment. I’m actually pretty impressed at how much they’re clinging onto life. They might be wilted and brown, but some are nearly standing, and that’s an achievement considering the circumstances. And some flowers are still colourful; there are pinks and yellows and whites peeking out from the brown.

I hope you’re thriving in your own environment,

Sarah xx
